Vitiligo

Characterized by white patches on the skin, vitiligo occurs when skin loses a pigment called melanin which imparts skin with its native color. It is a chronic condition that can cause extreme emotional stress in people suffering from it. In many people, vitiligo also leads to social rejection, trouble in relationships and marriage.
